When: Sunday, October 15 from around 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Cost: $15

Cost Includes: Transportation, rock climbing shoes, rock climbing harness, rock climbing helmet, belay device and locking carabiner, chalk bag, brushes, tape, daypack (optional)

You Need to Provide: close-toed shoes, appropriate clothing depending on the weather (rain jacket, insulating jacket, gloves, etc.), personal food, water bottles, sunscreen, sunglasses, a small backpack to carry things (school backpack is fine).

Pre-Trip Meeting: There will be a mandatory pre-trip meeting on Wednesday, October 11 at 5:00 PM. This meeting will take place in the Outdoor Programs area of the Rec Center.  During this time important information will be discussed, and you will have a chance to meet your leaders and fellow participants, as well as ask any questions.

Trip Description: Interested in outdoor rock climbing? Join Campus Recreation’s Outdoor Program (OP) and Transfer Programs @CSU on an outdoor rock climbing trip open to all skill and experience levels - led and facilitated by our Outdoor Program instructors at Horsetooth Reservoir! Students will learn the basics of top-rope belaying, fundamental climbing techniques, and basic climbing equipment from our Outdoor Program Instructor staff.
